Testimonials

MASSIEL PERALTA-GARCIA

I’ve never been an outgoing person when it comes to speaking out, but at Dance World Academy, I learned to express myself through dance. I learned to take risks, fall, and try again. In life, falling is
inevitable but getting back up and trying again is what leads to our success. Dance World Academy has taught me to never give up on myself no matter how difficult the obstacle in front of me might seem. I
would like to thank all the teachers at Dance World Academy who have helped me have an amazing and unforgettable experience in my ten years dancing.

“Dancing is the loftiest, the most moving, the most beautiful of the arts, because it is not mere translation or abstraction from life; it is life itself.” — Have lock Ellis
Throughout the years at Dance World Academy, I have learned many things. Dance World has provided me with the coordination of using the mind and body, to create a movement unlike any other. Dance World has formulated a creative and emotional outlet throughout my life, by allowing me to express myself through the act of dance. I have also learned to socially connect with many different personalities on and off the stage. Dance World has given me the opportunity to work with amazing dancers creating a family-like environment. I commend Dance World Academy for boosting my confidence level, and acknowledging that I have stage presence, beauty, and passion for dance.

KRISTEN PALERMO

Upon arrival to a dance class, one would think that all there is to learn are dance steps. However, Dance World Academy has taught me so much more than that. Through dance, I have become more confident and open minded. These characteristics will stay with me for the rest of my life, and it’s all thanks to my experiences at Dance World Academy. Thank you to all my teachers for being so wonderful over the years. I will always cherish the memories that I have made here at Dance World Academy, as well as cherish all the friendships that I have encountered.

AMANDA MAJER

“We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.”— Friedrich Nietzsche

My past 12 years of being a student at Dance World Academy have taught me more than just dance steps. I have learned the importance of determination, and that if I believe in myself I can achieve whatever I put my mind to. Most importantly, I have learned so much about myself, and with the help of the people I consider to be my second family, I have found confidence, inside and outside of the studio walls. I will carry with me all of the life lessons I have learned at Dance World Academy, along with countless amazing memories to last me a lifetime.

KATHY YUNGAICELA

Dance World Academy has taught me so much. One thing for sure is “giving up” will never be the answer. And because of that I have learned how to be confident, determined, and responsible. These past 12 years at Dance World Academy truly impacted my life in the best way because I have came across many great dancers and have made such amazing friends. I’d like to thank Miss Donna and my teachers for never giving up on me but for pushing me harder to prove to myself that I’m capable of doing anything I put myself up for. I can honestly say that being a student at Dance World Academy was the best experience I ever had and that’s something I will never forget.

EMILY VALDES

“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, tins expression is unique.”— John Dryden
For the past seven years, Dance World Academy has allowed me to explore my passions for the art of dance. I have grown as a performer and have learned to never put aside a dream no matter how daunting it may appear. Dance World Academy has not only given me the strength to pursue my dreams as a performer, it has empowered me to reach beyond the boundaries of my comfort zone and discover new aspects of my life I would have never seen without the help of all my teachers. I will take with me a sense of perseverance that I am extremely grateful to have learned in the studios of Dance World Academy.

MEY YOUNG TAY

For me, dance is a form of self-expression that provides the means for the creative mind to develop. This past year at Dance World Academy has taught me that in life, one must not hesitate to pursue one’s interests. I have learned that not everything in life is about the future. It is important to have goals and career aspirations, but one must also think about the everyday life and do things for one’s daily enjoyment. It is true that now that I head for college “the future” is my main concern, but I have learned this past year, that daily living is just as important.

DAMANI VAN RENSALIER

“Forget the risk, take the full. If it’s what you want, then it’s worth it all.”

Whether it was to be myself or to never be complacent, Dance World Academy has taught me many lessons that I will carry on with me through life. Ever since I was a young dancer taking my first steps in the studios, I’ve learned the importance of work ethic and drive to accomplish what it is I want to achieve. I was encouraged to take every opportunity that came upon me because, in the blink of an eye, they would soon be gone. It wasn’t easy to believe in myself and be assertive in what I wanted, but Dance World helped me find the confidence that I needed to do so. Ambition, determination, and being assertive are just few of the many qualities I’ve gained during my time at Dance World Academy. Now I know that wherever life takes me, I know I will be ready.

NYAMEKE SMITH

First, I would like to thank God for giving me the talent and ability to dance at Dance World Academy. Through my teachers, I have learned that if you make mistakes, to still continue and learn from them. This will serve me well as I go into the “real world.” As I move onto my next chapter in life, I will always remember the memories, dancers, teachers and faculty, lessons all long with the lectures, and last but not least, my friends. I love you all, stay blessed!
